US Army Chief of Staff: Revolutionary Guards – Terrorist Organization

by time news

The head of the United States Army Armed Forces, Mark Millie, said tonight (Thursday) that Iran’s Revolutionary Guards is a terrorist organization, and that it does not support its removal from the list of terrorist organizations. Millie’s remarks come amid criticism of the US administration after it was revealed in mid – March that the United States was considering removing Iran’s Revolutionary Guards from the list of foreign terrorist organizations, in exchange for a promise to restrain its forces.

At the same time, nuclear talks between Iran and the superpowers have stalled and both sides are digging into their positions – and Iran continues to accumulate high-level uranium and enrich it. As reported in the evening news here 11, the central issue on the negotiating table is the question of the Revolutionary Guards. A senior Israeli diplomat referred to the blasts of the talks and told News Here that after a year of good faith negotiations on the part of the United States and the West, it was time to return to applying real pressure on Iran, which would cause it to change its policy.

According to the Reuters news agency, Washington has not yet decided what the appropriate consideration will be given from Tehran in response to the move. About three years ago, former US President Donald Trump added the Revolutionary Guards to the list of terrorist organizations. It was the first time a foreign state government organization had been added to the list.

In response to the report, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Foreign Minister Yair Lapid issued a joint statement criticizing the US administration, calling on President Joe Biden not to remove the Revolutionary Guards from the list. “The attempt to abolish the definition of the Revolutionary Guards as a terrorist organization is an insult to the victims and the erasure of a documented reality, which has unequivocal evidence,” they noted.

National Security Council: Iran threatens to harm Israeli targets abroad

Meanwhile, the Counter-Terrorism Division at the National Security Headquarters today issued travel warnings ahead of Passover. The National Security Headquarters say that in the past year and a half, Iran and its affiliates have been increasing their activities abroad. Iranian elements are repeatedly threatening to harm Israeli targets.

The Anti-Terrorism Division also points out that in recent months there has been evidence of increasing attempts by Iranian elements to contact Israeli elements in favor of deportation, in order to harm them.

Out of 198 countries, there are currently 48 travel warnings at different levels. Of these, travel is prohibited by law to travel to six countries for every Israeli citizen, to Iran, Yemen, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Saudi Arabia. The National Security Council recommends not traveling if this is not essential or taking increased precautions while staying in the UAE, Bahrain, Turkey, and Egypt – including the Sinai Peninsula. This is due to the presence and activity of terrorist elements in these countries.
