Niv Lampert (Lilach Weiss-Rosenberg)
Niv Lampert (18,1.96), the youth player of Gilboa Springs, who was selected earlier this season as the player of the year in the youth league, received a summons to the prestigious Euroleague tournament to be held in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Lampert, who plays as the center-back, was invited by team coach and Euroleague legend Vasilis Spanoulis to guide the tournament’s talent team.
Spanoulis, a former player of Panathinaikos and Olympiacos who won the Euroleague with them, retired from active play last season and this year he was chosen to coach the prestigious youth star teams in the Adidas Euroleague tournaments.
This year’s tournaments were held in Peters, Belgrade, Varese and as mentioned another will be held in Ljubljana, with the three winners qualifying for the final tournament and the winner in Slovenia joining them for an event to be held this weekend at the Final Four, with four more joining on a free ticket basis. The referral to the player was made by representatives of Adidas and the training team in front of the player’s agent giving a good sign.
