Valparai, -Valparai, Chandana Mariamman temple festival yesterday, the devotees marched in procession carrying the sacred theertham. During the ceremony, devotees from Subramania Swamy Temple took the sacred tirtha, which was brought from various temples, to the temple in procession at 5:00 pm yesterday. Today, a special Abhishek Puja for Goddess will be held at 7:00 am and Alankara Puja at 9:00 am. Tirukkalyanam is held for Goddess at 10:00 am. Alms are given to the devotees at 1:00 pm. In the evening, at 6:00 pm, in a decorated chariot from the Nallakattu river, the goddess wakes up and goes for a walk on Tiruvedi and blesses the devotees. Arrangements for the ceremony are being made by the temple administrators.
