The Ukrainian military is also retaliating for an attack by Russian forces. In addition, Ukrainian forces have recaptured parts of Russia.
The United States and European nations have been providing various assistance to Ukraine in this war, including military weapons and logistics.
In this context, the United States has stated that it wants Ukraine to win the war against Russia.
In this regard, the Pentagon’s Secretary of State John Kirby met with reporters today at the U.S. military headquarters.
He said, “We want Ukraine to win this war, as it has been fighting for eight years to defend its sovereignty.” We want to see Putin and Russia defeated in this war. The lives of the Ukrainian people have been destroyed. We want this war to end soon.
