Cape Town: India advanced to the semi-finals of the Junior Women’s Hockey World Cup. India secured the semi-finals by defeating South Korea by three unanswered goals in the quarterfinals yesterday.
Mumtaz, Lal Rindiki and Sangeetha were the targets for India against Korea yesterday. The Korean defense was often confused in front of India, which was attacking at high speed. Mumtaz scored India’s first goal from a penalty corner, which the Korean defense confused.
India will take on the Netherlands in the semi-finals tomorrow.
