Islamabad: Uncertainty over the vote of no-confidence motion against the Imran government in Pakistan. The church stopped following the commotion. Imran Khan did not attend the meeting.

The vote on the no-confidence motion was the fourth agenda item in the House. But Shahbaz Sharif, who spoke on behalf of the opposition, called for a vote of no confidence without discussion. Later, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi spoke on behalf of Imran Khan.

‘The Supreme Court respects the verdict. The opposition has full authority to bring a no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister and respects it. But it is my duty as the ruling party to defend myself, “said Qureshi.

In the 342-member Pakistan National Assembly, Imran needed 172 votes to defeat the resolution. Currently, the opposition has 177 members. In addition, there are about 30 PTI dissidents in the House who support the no – confidence motion. Imran Khan did not attend the meeting. At the same time, the speaker is adamant that it is a foreign conspiracy.

Earlier, the Pakistan Supreme Court had quashed the Deputy Speaker’s decision not to vote on a no – confidence motion against Imran Khan. The no-confidence motion against Imran Khan will be put to a vote in the National Assembly on Saturday at 10 am after the court quashed the dismissal of the National Assembly. The Supreme Court ruled that the no-confidence motion was unconstitutional.

On March 8, hundreds of MPs from opposition parties, including the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), filed a no-confidence motion alleging that the Imran government was responsible for the financial crisis and inflation. Imran’s party, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has reportedly lost 24 MPs. It is followed by the seven-member Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P), the four-member Balochistan Awami Party and the PML-Q. The Jamuri Vatan Party withdrew its support. With this, Imran lost his majority.
