Washington: A teacher called police because students were late for class. Two students at Georgia State University in the U.S. were called to the police station two minutes late. Professor Carissa Gray was suspended over the incident.

Bria Blake, an eyewitness to the incident and another student in the class, described the incident through her Tick Tock account. The class started at 9 am and the students arrived at 9.02 am. When the professor asked the students to go back, they both refused. The professor was leaving the class when they were told that they had paid for their studies and would not return. Bria Blake added that she then returned with two armed police officers on campus.

When the police arrived, both students started crying. In her tic-tac-toe video, Bria said that the police had treated blacks badly and that it would have been more complicated if the police had been white.

A university spokeswoman told reporters that the university’s principal and police chief had been meeting with students after the incident and that Professor Carissa Gray had been suspended from campus. He added that students can complete the semester without interruption.
