Publish awareness slogans on drugs like cannabis and gutka: Chief Minister Stalin urges film industry

by time news

Chennai: Chief Minister Stalin has said that as the impact of drugs like gutka and cannabis is high among the younger generation, awareness slogans about it should also be released at the start of films.

Chief Minister MK Stalin addressed a South Indian Media and Entertainment Conference on Thaksin held on behalf of the Confederation of Indian Industry at Nandambakkam, Chennai.

DMK and the film industry are inseparable. Just like that, our family and even the movie world are inseparable. The conference is not only about returning the film industry to its old state, but also about moving forward faster. I hope this conference will pave the way for that.

The Southern film industry has been a pioneering contribution to Indian cinema. Film technicians from Chennai have been well received and valued all over India for their quality. Similarly, Tamil Nadu news organizations have a long history.

The Government of Tamil Nadu is ready to provide the necessary infrastructure facilities for the film industry. South India has everything it needs to become a major global hub for the media and entertainment industry. It is commendable that awareness slogans against smoking and alcohol are displayed at the beginning of the films.

At the same time I would like to make a request to you that since the impact of drugs like gutka and cannabis is currently high among the youth community I am obliged to publish awareness slogans about it as well. Not only that, but today’s generation is growing up watching movies. So with that in mind we need to make progressive films that benefit the community. Thus he spoke.
