Colombo (News 1st) On the eve of the Tamil and Sinhala New Year, the Ministry of Commerce has made arrangements to distribute a relief package containing 5 types of goods below the market price to consumers through Sathosa.
A packet containing rice, palma, sugar and tea will be sold for 1950 rupees.
It has been reported that consumers will be able to get these 5 types of items as a New Year relief package with a discount of 700 rupees or more as compared to the prevailing market prices.
The relief package will be on sale through Sathosa branches from tomorrow (10).
