District Chief Justice Shanthi said the cases pending in the court could be resolved through the Conciliation Center.

Awareness march

A reconciliation day awareness march was held in Thiruvarur yesterday as per the order of the Tamil Nadu State Conciliation Settlement Center functioning under the Chennai I-Court. Departing from the Thiruvarur railway station, the awareness march was flagged off by the Chief Justice of the District and the Chairman of the Center for Conciliation, Shanthi Kodi.

Then he said: –

Compromise Week is celebrated from the 6th to the 13th. Attorneys and the public can therefore refer cases pending in court to the Conciliation Center and resolve cases through conciliation arbitrators.

Thus he said.

Involvement of judges

The event was attended by Chief Criminal Judge Balamurugan, Pro-Judge Veeran, Pro-Judge and Secretary of the Conciliation Center Saranya, District Licensing Judge Hariramakrishnan, Additional Superintendent of Police Anpalagan, Bar Association President Karthikeyan, Secretary Dinesh and Namco Charity President Jeevanandam.

The procession started from the railway station and went through various streets and reached the municipal office. Awareness leaflets on the Conciliation Center were distributed to the public.
