It’s unclear if the bricks will use GaN or offer any special features. However, 35W suggests that this will be for mobile devices rather than Macs. You can quickly charge your iPhone 13 Pro Max (which supports up to
to 27W) while leaving enough power for your Apple Watch or AirPods. Multi-port chargers aren’t exactly a rarity in the third-party market, but that might be attractive if you’re insisting on an official solution.
It’s also uncertain when Apple might release the two-port power adapter. This is not the type of product that will get screen time at an event like WWDC, and there is no guarantee that it will appear alongside a higher level device. While this apparent slippage may hint at an imminent launch, this slippage could take months.
