A large fire broke out this morning (Sunday) in the industrial area of the city of Emanuel, following which the residents were called to lock themselves in their homes.
Many teams of firefighters and volunteers from the Samaria station, with the help of cross-districts from the Central District and the coast, are working to put out the fire.

Crews are working to extinguish and contain the fire in order to prevent it from spreading to nearby factories, but there is still a danger of it spreading to other nearby factories.
In addition, firefighters had to deal with illegal resident workers, who fled into the factories and made it difficult for them to work, and for this purpose a police force was called in to evacuate the workers.
At the scene of the incident, a situation assessment was conducted, led by the commander of the Judea and Samaria District, Tafser Shiko Bar Dov.

“During firefighting operations, the firefighters encountered Shevahs who fled from the security forces and made it difficult for the firefighting operations, their treatment was transferred to a YSM force that jumped to the scene.
“With the arrival of additional teams at the scene, work cuts were distributed in order to protect nearby buildings. Firefighters are continuing vigorous firefighting operations to stop the spread of the fire.”

Tafser Shiko Bar Dov, the district commander, said that “after assessing the situation I had with the commanders in the field in cooperation with Israeli police officers, as well as the Association of Cities for the Environment, I ordered a major effort to stop the spread of the fire.” “The fire brigade will continue in the coming hours and the residents must be alert to updates.”
A few hours later, firefighters in collaboration with the Ministry of Environmental Protection conducted monitoring operations throughout Emanuel, value measurements indicated a concentration of polluting particles following the fire and residents were instructed to lock themselves in their homes and close windows and vents.
