Thiruvananthapuram: (www.kvartha.com 10.04.2022) In a condolence message, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the untimely demise of CPM’s top leader MC Josephine was deeply saddening. He had a heart attack while attending the 23rd Congress of the party.

Josephine was a leader who worked tirelessly for workers, women and the people. Josephine has been involved in the student-youth-women’s movement for more than half a century.

They left their mark on all areas of involvement and took an uncompromising stand for the rights of women and workers.

Josephine’s intervention as the All India Leader of the Democratic Women’s Association and Chairperson of the Women’s Commission was focused solely on ensuring justice for women and leading to progress. She was also the leader of various trade unions and the leader of the Women’s Development Corporation and the Greater Kochi Development Authority.

Josephine’s separation is a great loss to the progressive movement and women’s movement in Kerala. In his condolence message, the Chief Minister said that he was deeply saddened by the death of Comrade.
