Another 19 people from Sri Lanka have sought refuge in Tamil Nadu. 19 persons belonging to 5 families have come to Dhanushkodi by boats from Mannar and Jaffna.

Thus industries are affected and the prices of essential commodities are rising. The number of Sri Lankan Tamils coming to Dhanushkodi by boat and seeking refuge is increasing day by day due to various reasons such as high prices and unemployment.
In that category already 20 people came to Tamil Nadu by boats. Police received information that 19 more persons belonging to 5 families had come to Dhanushkodi.
The QB police investigated 19 persons who came to Arisalmunai near Dhanushkodi. This number is expected to increase further.
