Before the conversation with Steve, President Herzog referred to the security situation: “Days are not easy here on the ground, and it is gratifying that there is a point of light in the sky.”

The crew, including Eitan Steve, arrived at the International Space Station in the “Dragon” capsule yesterday, after the connection to the station was delayed due to a technical malfunction. Upon arrival at the station, an entry ceremony took place on the occasion of their arrival.

During the ceremony, the Israeli astronaut said: “Welcome to the International Space Station, for the first time you can speak Hebrew here. Together we will help each other achieve the goals, each came with a complete work plan and good luck to everyone.”

Steve’s mission, known in Hebrew as “Rakia”, is expected to last about ten days, during which he will conduct dozens of experiments by Israeli scientists, researchers and entrepreneurs.
