Elon Musk, one of the world’s richest men and CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, recently bought a 9.2 percent stake in leading social networking site Twitter.
Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, has acquired a 9.2% stake in Twitter, owning more of the company’s shares.
It was only recently that the company announced that he would be appointed to one of Twitter’s board of directors.
In this case, the company has announced that he does not want to join the board of directors of Twitter.
According to Twitter CEO Barack Agarwal: –
“Elon has decided not to join our group. I sent a brief note to the company, which I will share with you here.
Elon Musk’s joining the board of directors of Twitter was discussed with him and his team at various stages.
Since Elon Musk was a trustee of the company, we believed that like all team members we should act in the best interests of the company. He must travel forward like all partners. He was assigned a place on the board of directors.
We announced last Tuesday that he will formally join the board of directors on April 9th. But that morning, he said, ‘I will not join the group anymore.’
I hope this is the best. Whether our partners are on our team or not, we always value their feedback and input.
