Jewelery gold in Chennai traded at Rs 39,400 a razor on Monday.
Due to the Russia-Ukraine war, gold prices have been rising steadily since February. In particular, it crossed Rs 38,000 on February 22, Rs 39,000 on February 24 and Rs 40,000 on March 7. After this, the gold price, which had been volatile, crossed Rs 39,000 again last Friday.
As a result, the price of jewelery gold rose by Rs 6 per razor today to Rs 39,400. A gram of gold rises by Rs 48 to Rs 4,925.
At the same time, silver rose by 20 paise to Rs 71.70 per gram and silver by Rs 200 to Rs 71,700 per kg.
