More than a million visitors came to admire the works from the Morozov collection at the Fondation Louis Vuitton.

The Russian Morozov collection, presented at the Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris, attracted 1.2 million visitors, despite the pandemic, according to figures communicated by the museum.

It was the first time that this vast collection, made up of Van Gogh, Cézanne, Matisse, Bonnard, as well as works by Russian painters like Malevich and Repin, left Russia, in this magnitude, to be exhibited abroad. .

The exhibition, which started on September 21, 2021, was due to end on February 22. It was eventually extended for over a month and ended on April 3.

This attendance figure is lower than the record set by the Chtchoukine collection – another Russian collector – presented in 2017, but “exceptional” due to the health crisis.
