Islamabad: Shahbaz Sharif has been sworn in as the 23rd Prime Minister of Pakistan. Acting President Sadiq Sanjharani administered the oath of office to President Dr Arif Alvi as he was not feeling well.
Shahbaz Sharif became the Prime Minister with a majority of 174 votes out of 342 after the no-confidence motion was passed against Imran Khan. In his first speech, he said that the people of Kashmir were suffering due to the removal of Article 370 of Jammu and Kashmir.
Shahbaz Sharif has said he wants good relations with India, but said it would not be possible without resolving the Kashmir issue.
