In the state volleyball tournament held at Dharmapuri, the Erode Kongu team won the first place in the men’s division and the Salem team won the first place in the women’s category.
State Volleyball Tournament
The state level men’s and women’s volleyball tournament on behalf of Dharmapuri Boys Club was held for 2 days electronically at the District Stadium in Dharmapuri. The tournament was attended by players from 16 districts including Krishnagiri, Vellore, Madurai, Theni, Dharmapuri, Chennai, Salem and Dindigul.
District Volleyball Association President DNV Selvaraj presided over the opening ceremony of the final. Secretary Subramanian, former secretaries Vishnuchander and Jayapal and district deputy secretary Murthy were in the forefront. The tournament was organized by the district DMK. Subramanian in charge started the track. In the men’s final, Erode Kongu team came first, Chennai Satyabhama team came second and Dharmapuri team came third.

Similarly, in the women’s category, Salem team came first, Theni team came second and Hosur Eagle Sports team came third. Prizes and trophies were given to the winning teams. It was called by a former MP. MG Sehgar, DMK City Commissioner Anpalagan, Administrator Thadangam Ilayasankar, Likkiyampatti Panchayat Council Chairman Sudha Ramesh and Information Technology Division District Organizer Gautham were among the keynote speakers.
The event was attended by Municipal Councilors Pandian, Chinnappa Madesh, Administrators Kasinathan, Sasikumar, Kandan, Jeeva, Vinod and many others.
