Our marriage is taking place at a time of my crisis. It was a love marriage. The first time I saw my wife was at the cricket stadium. But I did not play in that match. She was in the VIP seat with her family. They belong to a royal family in Rajasthan. I loved that kid as soon as I saw it. When asked if he wanted my number, he said no. But, their cousin bought the number.
Cousin called to see if it was a fake number. His wife had said at the time that he could keep in touch. The call came a year and a half later. She was studying at Levant that day. The call came to me later when I was not performing. You were told you could get married if you won the World Cup. Don’t prank, their questions were whether you are a Kshatriya or my family would not agree.
I had an injury at the time. It was impossible to even walk. I was talking to my wife’s mother at the time. I was told that I was not a cricketer but now in a wheelchair and did not know if I could play anymore. The mother replied that her daughter was not marrying cricketer Sreesanth. I was very happy to hear that Sreesanth was being tied up. My wife’s father first saw me in court. The marriage was confirmed when the newsmen portrayed me badly. While I was in prison, my wife slept in the kitchen for 27 days. Even eating the food was like eating in jail. I’m a good believer.
