Editorial Process and Bylines
Last updated: August 21, 2026
Time News organizes coverage through topic-focused editorial profiles for business, entertainment, health, general news, sport, technology, and world affairs. These profiles help readers identify the intended desk and voice of an article.
What a byline means
A byline on Time News identifies a publication profile or editorial desk. It does not by itself establish that the profile is a natural person or that it holds an external employment history, award, professional license, or academic qualification.
Automated workflow
Source discovery, comparison, drafting, translation, image selection, and formatting may be assisted by automated tools. Some articles publish on an automated schedule. The presence of automation is why contextual source links and a clear correction route are central to our process.
Editorial safeguards
- Important claims should be traceable to linked source material.
- Developing stories may be updated as more reliable information becomes available.
- Medical, legal, and financial articles are informational and are not professional advice.
- Advertising and sponsored relationships do not determine ordinary editorial conclusions.
