Jeddah: The e-Commerce Council has announced that those doing online business in the country must obtain commercial registration.
This is to ensure that their activities continue in accordance with the rights of the consumers. Commercial registration is available at http://e.mc.gov.sa If you need a license from another department to start an online business, you need to complete the steps. Council officials said the aim was to increase the credibility of e-commerce transactions, protect consumer-merchant rights and eliminate counterfeit stores. The registration was made mandatory in the context of the Ministry’s attention to the fraud and fraud of some stores which do not follow the rules and do not have commercial records.
