In two different publications, OnePlus unveiled a pair of new devices that the company will launch later this month. OnePlus Ace is the first in a whole new line of devices and the second is the OnePlus 10R 5G.
The OnePlus Ace has a rather unique design, with a back with two different textures: one is rough and the other is smooth. Such unusual ideas are one of the details that will characterize the Ace series according to the manufacturer. Two other characteristics will be “consistent quality” and “excellent performance”. In fact, the One Plus Ace series inherits the brand from Oppo, which has previously launched several devices under the same name.
As for specs, the company reveals that the chipset will be a MediaTek Dimensity 8100, and that the OnePlus Ace will support an extremely high charging power of up to 150 watts.
Later this month, OnePlus is expected to hold another event, which now looks highly likely to be a global marketing announcement for OnePlus Ace as the April 21 launch focuses on the Chinese market.
As for the rumors about the OnePlus 10R that preceded this announcement, there is now speculation that the OnePlus 10R and the OnePlus Ace are in fact the same device, or at least two quite similar models, when it will actually be announced a week later on April 28th.
