Dimitro Keda, a 12-year-old who came on for Shakhtar in the innings, scored before the end of the match. Dimitro’s goal was a 2-2 draw. With this goal, Shakhtar won the match.

Russia claimed to have captured Mariupol. Moscow also claimed that more than 1,000 Ukrainian troops had surrendered. Russia’s Defense Ministry says 1,026 soldiers and women in the Marine Brigade have voluntarily given up their weapons and surrendered. But Ukraine has denied this.
151 Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in the clashes. Alimov reported that Russian soldiers had given them first aid and transferred them to the nearby Mariupol City Hospital for further treatment. But a Ukrainian defense spokesman told Reuters that no information had been received about the surrender.
