Mumbai: Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh has been arrested for posting a note on Twitter. The controversy erupted after Yuvraj posted a comment on Twitter after the Rajasthan Royals-Gujarat Titans match in the IPL. The tweet was in praise of Rajasthan cricketer Jose Butler. However, the incident came to a head when the fans came with the suspicion that Ravichandran Ashwin was not indirectly trolling in it.
‘In cricket we still have some gentlemen like Jose Butler. Other players should learn from him, especially his teammates’ – Yuvraj tweeted.
In the post, the fans were outraged by the remark that ‘teammates should learn from Butler’. Fans have criticized the reference to Ashwin. Fans say they did not expect such a reference from a star like Yuvraj.
We should just unfollow some ‘superstars’ post their retirement. Don’t want to develop any hatred against them, whom we had respected so much. Let’s just retire them from our memories as the ones who won us World Cup and many other memorable matches.
