Juneteenth Celebration with The Dirty Dozen Brass Band Rescheduled for June 26 in Huntsville
The highly anticipated 805 After Five event, featuring Grammy-winning The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, has been rescheduled for Thursday, June 26, following a postponement due to inclement weather.
The rescheduled concert will now incorporate a special celebration of Juneteenth, commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, renowned for their dynamic fusion of jazz, funk, and R&B, will headline the event.
Opening the show will be the soulful performer Karmessa, preceded by DJ sets from Vertical House Records beginning at 5 p.m. at Butler Green at Campus No. 805.
“Despite the wet conditions causing last week’s postponement, the weather couldn’t dampen the anticipation surrounding this 805 After Five,” stated a Huntsville Music official. “We are thrilled that The Dirty Dozen Brass Band worked with us to reschedule, so Huntsville can enjoy this incredible show.”
Admission to 805 After Five remains free and open to all ages. Attendees can also enjoy a variety of food and beverage options offered by Campus No. 805’s on-site venues and vendors.
To address potential parking challenges, the city of Huntsville and Downtown Huntsville, Inc. are providing a complimentary shuttle service. Shuttles will operate between Lot K (620 Clinton Ave. W) and Campus 805 (2620 Clinton Ave. W) from 5-9 p.m. A detailed route map is available at HuntsvilleAL.gov/805afterfiveshuttle.
