Footprints: Plastikmüll City: – Video

by time news

A colorful footprint of humanity that shines high into the sky is in Johannesburg: the plastic waste city – structured like a city of its own with residential areas and sorting points. Plastic waste in all shapes and colors serves as a livelihood for entire families. A garbage worker collects an average of 128 kilograms of material a day. They pick up and recycle what others carelessly throw away and thus work against the garbage problem in South Africa’s largest city.
