The Kuwaiti Ministry of Transport, in collaboration with the Consumer Protection Department of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, inspected 36 vehicle rental companies in Ardia. The Department of Transportation closed 23 offices that were found to be operating illegally. The lightning inspection was led by Brigadier Khalid Mahmood.

The lightning inspection was carried out to find violations such as not fitting a tracking device in the vehicle, renting a vehicle to domestic workers, not having adequate insurance coverage for the rental vehicles, and forcing customers to sign fraudulent contracts.
Lt. Gen. Lt. Gen. Lt. Col. Lt. Col. Lt. Col. Lt. Colonel Abdurrahman Al Awadi said.
