Medical seats should be filled immediately… .. OPS insistence…. !!!!

The OBS has said that vacant seats in the MBBS course should be filled immediately.

There are a large number of government medical colleges in India. Tamil Nadu is at the forefront of addressing public health challenges and improving medical infrastructure. The OPS has said that the main reason for this is the AIADMK government. There are a total of 37 Government Medical Colleges in Tamil Nadu. Of these, 769 seats are reserved for the All India quota. The Central Consultative Committee is tasked with allocating these seats to the student body. The panel has completed 4 consultative committees for the year 2021-22. But so far it has been reported that 24 All India quotas have not been given and some government quotas in self-funded colleges have not been filled.

These seats will usually be filled immediately after the 2nd Consultative Meeting. But the medical seats remain unfilled by the time the 4th consultation meeting is over. As a result, there is a possibility that 50 students from Tamil Nadu will drop out of self-funded colleges. After that the 4 seats allotted in government colleges are likely to go unavailable to the poor common people. Therefore, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu should intervene in this matter and make arrangements for the proper allocation of All India quotas. Panneerselvam has said.
