OnePlus is booming.

No one outside the company knows what the future of OnePlus will look like, but its latest smartphone, the OnePlus 10 Pro, appears to exemplify what the new era of OnePlus will look like.
OnePlus is part of a larger consortium of smartphone companies under the BBK umbrella. Just like the way General Motors deals with many car companies, all BBK brands choose the same parts and make similar products, but they target different markets. OnePlus’s sister companies BBK, Oppo, Vivo, and Realme are headquartered in China, and iQOO is focused on India. OnePlus was a western division of BBK. BBK already has three China-focused brands, so China’s preference for OnePlus could mean a slight pullback from the US market. Oppo’s connection also feels like a rejection of OnePlus’ original strategy. OnePlus was once enough to be a separate entity under BBK, but now it is not.
