Pakistan’s Deputy Speaker resigns

Imran Khan was ousted as prime minister after a no-confidence motion in the Pakistani parliament was defeated.

Qasim Khan Suri is the current Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Pakistan. He was reportedly a supporter of Imran Khan.

Therefore, the ruling party had planned to bring a no-confidence motion in Parliament today against Deputy Speaker Qasim.

In this context, Quasim Khan Suri resigned as the Deputy Speaker of Parliament today. His resignation was accepted by the Parliamentary Secretary.
