Chennai: The Tamil Nadu BJP has released a video titled ‘Ennum Raja Ilayaraja’ in support of music composer Ilayaraja, who has compared Prime Minister Modi with Ambedkar.
Music composer Ilayaraja has written a foreword to a novel titled ‘Ambedkar and Modi’. In it, ‘Ambedkar and Modi were the ones who experienced poverty and oppression. Both have a big dream for India and hope for action, “said Tariq al-Hashimi, the party’s secretary general.
In protest, the DMK and its allies have been criticizing Ilayaraja. In retaliation, the Tamil Nadu BJP has released videos in support of Ilayaraja.
In it, ‘Ambedkar, Modi and Ilayaraja come from the grassroots and touch the summit’, and the words quoted in the preface written by Ilayaraja are broadcast.
The post on the websites finally concludes, ‘Raja Ilayaraja is also the musician who told the truth in his mind in Tamil Nadu who is reluctant to speak the truth’.
In another video, Ilayaraja was quoted as saying a few years ago, ‘I think the central government, led by Prime Minister Modi, honors the Tamil people and Tamil Nadu through the award I have received’.
Many Tamil Nadu BJP leaders, including Annamalai and party executives and volunteers, have been posting videos in support of Ilayaraja on social media.
