On Saturday, Prashant Kishore had met top Congress leaders, including party president Sonia Gandhi. During the three-hour long meeting, KC said that Prashant Kishore had given a detailed presentation to the Congress leaders on the way forward for the party. Venugopal said.

Explaining the 370 constituencies to focus on in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Prashant Kishore briefed the leadership on the weaknesses of the Congress and the remedial measures to be taken. KC said the Congress would soon form a small committee of five or less to discuss and study his proposals and plans. Venugopal informed the media.

‘The Congress leadership has been in talks with Prashant Kishore for a long time. Unlike before, this time he presented a lot of things. Prashant Kishore has not put forward a proposal to discuss for three hours. It includes strengthening the party from the grassroots. The committee chaired by the Congress president will hold full consultations with Prashant Kishore in the coming days. After this the party president will take the final decision on the basis of the report given by the committee. After these discussions, it will be decided whether Prashant Kishore’s role is outside or inside the party ‘, said Venugopal.

It is learned that Prashant Kishore has made it clear to the Congress leaders in which states and with which parties he will form an alliance. The Congress should contest alone in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Odisha. The NNI quoted Congress sources as saying that Prashant Kishore had suggested joining the alliance in states like Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Maharashtra.

It is learned that Prashant Kishore has put forward around 540 proposals. According to reports, five leaders – Priyanka Gandhi, KC Venugopal, Randeep Singh Surjewala, Mukul Wasnik and Jairam Ramesh – will be on the committee studying Prashant Kishore’s suggestions.
