The Frenchman netted his 11th league goal in his side’s easy 3-0 victory.

The Tigers regained the lead in the closing tournament of the Mexican championship, thanks to a home victory (3-0) on Saturday over the Red Devils of Toluca.

The Monterrey team can once again thank their French strikers Florian Thauvin and André-Pierre Gignac. The first delivered an assist on the first goal, signed Juan Pablo Vigon (58th), and the second closed the scoring with a header (71st).

With this 11th goal in 14 days, Gignac consolidates his position as top scorer. The Tigres are tied on points (32) with Pachuca at the top of the table, but are ahead of the “Tuzos” by a short head on goal difference (+14 against +13).
