Police have immediately arrested 4 people in connection with the incident in which 3 people, including a woman, were hacked to death in the same family near Nellai.

Jesuraj (age 73) hails from Nanjankulam village near Manor in Nellai district. He was working as a building contractor. His brother Mariaraj (56). Came from being a Christian pastor. Their sister is Vasantha (40). He worked as a clerk in the Palayankottai taluka office.
It is said that there was a land dispute between them and their uncle’s son Alagharsamy from the same town. And the issue has been between the two families over setting up a deep well in the area. A complaint has been lodged at the Manor police station and police are conducting an investigation.
At this point Jesuraj was fighting to build a deep well for drinking water on a piece of land. He was accompanied by his brother Mariyaraj, sister Vasantha, Vasantha’s husband another Jesuraj (43) and Mariyarajan’s son Amos (23). The entrants were in that place.
Alagharsamy, his wife Pechiyammal, son-in-law Senthukumar (25), sons Raja Manikandan, Sundarapandi and his relatives came there and quarreled with them. After the dispute, they chased away Jesuraj and Mariyaraj and cut them with a scythe. This was followed by a confrontation between the two sides. Eight people were seriously injured in the incident.
Alagharsamy and his wife Pechiyammal, Senthilkumar and Rajalakshmi have been arrested by the police in connection with the incident and are being kept at the Nellai Medical College Hospital police station. They are also looking for Sundara Pandian and Raja Manikandan.
On the orders of Nellai Goods Police DIG Pravesh Kumar, 3 special teams have been set up to nab the culprits involved in the murder. Private police are going to different places and searching for the culprits.
