Longueuil Comedy Fest: Meet Your Favorite Online Personalities

by Sofia Alvarez

The Longueuil Comique Fest offers an opportunity to “meet people you see on your phone all year long,” the event’s godmother said Saturday.

For its second edition, running from July 10 to August 8, the festival features comedy shows, live podcast recordings, and solo performances.

“It’s a chance to meet people you see on your phone all year long,” said Stéphanie Vandelac, host of the Couple Ouvert podcast and the event’s godmother, in an interview on Le Québec matin.

For the host and humorist, festivals are a place of discovery.

“When we talk about guests, as you rightly said, sometimes we think of stars, but there are also up-and-coming comedians who do well on social media,” she added.

The Longueuil resident invites comedy fans to attend, noting that “it’s fun to have something in Longueuil, because we don’t need to cross the bridge this time.”
