In the rural areas of Coimbatore, special worships were held at temples on the occasion of the Chitra Pavurni festival. A large number of devotees participated in the chariot festival and special poojas.

Here, on the occasion of Chitra Pavurnami, devotees came to Kirivalam and paid obeisance to the Swami. Varahi Amman Temple is located in the Bharathi Nagar area of the Koodaluar Municipality.
