New Delhi: Pakistan’s new Prime Minister Shebaz Sharif in a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said he wants peaceful relations with India and called for meaningful talks. Shebaz Sharif has been sworn in as the new Prime Minister of Pakistan following the overthrow of the Imran Khan government. Congratulating him on Twitter on the 11th, Prime Minister Modi said that India wants a region free of extremism, peace and stability. Later, in a letter to the Prime Minister of Pakistan a few days ago, Modi mentioned that India wanted a constructive relationship with Pakistan.

Shebaz Sharif, who thanked Prime Minister Modi for his Twitter greetings, has now sent a reply letter to Prime Minister Modi. He said, “Pakistan wants peace and co-operation with India. A peaceful solution to the pending issues, including Jammu and Kashmir, is essential. This requires meaningful bilateral dialogue. The sacrifices made by Pakistan in the fight against terrorism are well known. We will protect the peace of our people. We will focus on socio-economic development, ”he said. Bilateral relations were also affected in the aftermath of the Pulwama attack in 2019 and the deprivation of Kashmir special powers. With the current regime change in Pakistan, India-Pakistan relations are expected to normalize again.
