The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex plunged by 900 points in early trade on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) in early trade today.
At 12 noon, the Sensex was down 1,238.98 points, or 2.12 per cent, at 57,099.95. The stock traded at 57,047.00 points, down from 57,338.58 points at the start of trading.
Similarly, the wide-based National Stock Exchange Nifty index fell by 328.55 points, or 1.88 per cent, to 17,147.10. Earlier, the Nifty was at 17,475.65 points on Wednesday, the last day of trading
IT The stocks faced a severe crisis. Among them, Infosys was up 7.31 per cent, Tech Mahindra 5.29 per cent, Wipro 3.74 per cent and TCS 3.30 per cent. 3.23 per cent and HCL. Technologies was down 2.93 percent.
