Bavarian Airport Braces for Holiday Passenger Surge

Memmingen, Bavaria – July 20, 2025 – Pack your bags! Memmingen Airport is gearing up for a significant surge in travelers this holiday season, anticipating a 10% increase in passenger numbers. That means roughly half a million people will be flying in or out of the Bavarian airport during the upcoming summer vacation weeks, marking a notable jump from the previous year.

This summer, Memmingen Airport expects approximately 540,000 passengers, a substantial climb from the 490,000 who traveled through during the same period last year. Airport Managing Director Ralf Schmid stated, “We have had the largest offer since our airport.” The airport is set to serve 60 destinations, primarily serviced by airline partners Ryanair and Wizz Air.

Eastern European cities like Budapest, Krakow, and Riga are also attracting significant interest.
