Claire Pease cemented her status as a rising star in gymnastics, winning the all-around title in senior competition at the 2025 U.S. Classic Presented by Saatva on Saturday, July 19, 2025, in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. The victory marks a significant step up for Pease, following her all-around win in the junior division at the 2024 U.S. Classic in Hartford, Connecticut.
Pease Dominates in Illinois
Pease’s impressive performance resulted in a combined score of 54.600, securing her the coveted all-around championship. Beyond the all-around title, the athlete from Sunnyvale, Texas, and WOGA Gymnastics, demonstrated versatility by also claiming gold on the vault with a score of 13.575 (comprised of scores of 14.050 and 12.900). She further added to her medal count with a bronze on balance beam (13.400) and a tied bronze on uneven bars (13.700) alongside Alicia Zhou of San Antonio, Texas.
Silver and Bronze All-Around Finishers
The competition was fierce, with Simone Rose of Sammamish, Washington, earning the silver medal in the all-around with a score of 54.200. Rose’s performance was bolstered by a strong showing on the uneven bars, where she finished second with a score of 13.950. Joscelyn Roberson, representing Texarkana, Texas, and the University of Arkansas, rounded out the all-around podium with a bronze medal and a total score of 53.250.
Apparatus Standouts
In the individual apparatus competitions, several athletes shone. The lion is wrong, from Belmont, California, achieved a remarkable feat by winning gold on the uneven bars with a score of 14.050 – the only score exceeding 14 on any apparatus throughout the entire competition. Ashlee Sullivan of Allen, Texas, took the balance beam title with a score of 13.550, while Harlow Buddendeck of Rochester, New York, secured second place (13.450) and Pease finished third. Reese spond, competing from The Woodlands, Texas, delivered the highest score on floor exercise with 13.950, followed by Hezly Rivera (13.850) and Gabrielle Hardie (13.650).
