MONTBETON, France – Get ready for a blast of fun in Montbeton this August as the town gears up for a three-day festival packed with pétanque, delicious food, music, and fireworks. From August 8 to August 10, the festival committee promises a welcoming atmosphere brimming with good cheer, thanks to the support of local sponsors and residents.
A festive mix of sports, dining, and entertainment is set to invigorate Montbeton from August 8-10.
The festivities commence on Friday, August 8, at 2 p.m. with a friendly pétanque competition. As evening approaches, attendees can gather on Place Alibert at 7 p.m. for aperitifs and grilled delights. The night will then come alive with a disco featuring Zik Mobile 82 and the Dreams Girls cabaret dancers starting at 9 p.m.
A Grand Orchestral Finale
Saturday, August 9, brings another pétanque competition at 2 p.m., followed by a musical aperitif at 7 p.m. The evening’s highlight is a meal and show on Place Alibert at 8 p.m., offering a menu of melon, country ham, duck confit, frog apples, cheese, and dessert for €22. A Packed Sunday Schedule
The celebration weekend continues on Sunday, August 10, with a full day of activities. The day begins at 11 a.m. with a mass at the Notre-Dame de l’Assumption de Montbeton church, followed by a wreath-laying ceremony at the war memorial. The festival committee will host an aperitif-concert at noon.
At 2 p.m., sports enthusiasts can look forward to the Ufolep Cycling Grand Prix. The evening continues at 7 p.m. with aperitifs, grills, and a performance by Frédéric Pocquet, also known as “Fred,” a tribute artist to Renaud. The acclaimed Aldo Feliciano and his orchestra will take the stage at 9 p.m. for a musette ball to set the mood.
The grand finale will feature a spectacular fireworks display. Following the fireworks, Aldo Feliciano and his orchestra will return at midnight to host an 80s-themed evening, ensuring a memorable end to the festivities that are designed to appeal to all tastes.
