Monster Truck Tire Flies Off, Destroys Parked Car in Washington State
A parked vehicle sustained significant damage after being struck by a massive tire that detached from a monster truck during a demonstration at the Thunderbird Arena in Bremerton, Washington, on Thursday. The incident, captured on social media, highlights the inherent risks associated with the high-octane world of monster truck rallies.
A video circulating online shows the “Veteran” truck losing its front wheel during a jump, sending the enormous tire careening into the surrounding area. According to reports from Fox 13, the tire initially impacted the arena walls before bouncing onto a flagpole and ultimately landing in the parking lot.
Dramatic Incident at Malicious Monster Truck Tour
The incident occurred during a rally of the Malicious Monster Truck Tour at the Thunderbird Arena, located in Kitsap County, Washington. The detached tire, weighing approximately 362 kg (roughly 798 pounds), caused extensive damage to a black Kia Sedan. The vehicle’s rear window and a portion of the roof were completely destroyed by the impact.
Fortunately, authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
Tire’s Trajectory and Damage Assessment
The tire’s path was remarkably destructive. After leaving the truck, it first bounced off the interior walls of the arena. It then struck a flagpole before clearing the arena perimeter and landing directly on the parked Kia. The force of the impact was substantial, leaving the vehicle with significant structural damage.
