Amit Shah has ordered the police to take stern action against those involved in the Delhi Hanuman Jayanti violence.

Clashes between the two factions erupted yesterday during the Hanuman Jayanti procession in Delhi’s Jahangirpuri. Eight policemen and nine civilians were injured. A 10-member panel has been set up to investigate the violence.

So far 24 people have been arrested in connection with the violence. Meanwhile, the police said that the FIR was registered on those who organized the procession and was attended by one another.

Commenting on the incident, the BJP said there was a conspiracy behind the incident. Delhi BJP leader Adesh Gupta had also demanded an inquiry into the role of illegal immigrants in the incident.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has directed Delhi Police officials to take stern action against those involved in the Delhi Hanuman Jayanti violence. It is learned that Amit Shah has asked the Delhi Police to take precautionary measures to prevent such incidents from happening again.
