Eight people killed in a missile attack on Lviv in western Ukraine

by time news

Six people were killed and eight others wounded in a Russian army missile strike on the western Ukrainian city of Lvov, the region’s governor Maxim Kozicki told the Associated Press.

Kozyczak said there were four attacks, three of which hit military infrastructure facilities and one hit a tire shop. He said emergency crews put out fires caused by the attacks and one of the injured was a child.

The attacks took place while the country was on alert for a comprehensive Russian offensive in eastern Ukraine. Malvov was spared quite a bit from the severe violence during almost two months of war.
