Love Island USA’s Leah Kateb and Miguel Harichi Reveal New Home and Relationship Soundtrack

A blossoming romance continues for Love Island USA season 6 runners-up, Leah Kateb and Miguel Harichi, who recently shared details about their relationship and future plans. The couple revisited the site of their first date – the Los Angeles vegan restaurant PLANTA – for the latest installment of Billboard’s “Take Us Out” series, offering a glimpse into their connection and what’s next for the pair.

The pair, who captured hearts on the popular Peacock dating show, revealed they have purchased a home together and are preparing to move in, marking a significant step in their relationship. Beyond the milestone of cohabitation, Kateb and Harichi also delved into the musical landscape that defines their love story.

During the interview, Kateb challenged Harichi to select a song that encapsulates their relationship. He quickly chose “So American” from Olivia Rodrigo’s 2023 album, Guts. The track’s lyrics, including “And he laughs at all my jokes/ And he says I’m so American,” resonated with the couple’s dynamic. “It does seem to perfectly fit their vibe,” according to the interview.

Harichi also offered Taylor Swift’s 2019 Lover track, “London Boy,” as a potential theme song, referencing the lyrics about an “American smile.” Kateb playfully disagreed, but acknowledged it as a “good answer.”

Ultimately, Kateb revealed her choice: Swift’s “So High School,” leading to an impromptu, a cappella performance of the chorus. When prompted for her song choice for Harichi, Kateb playfully offered “London Boy” alongside Usher’s “Hey Daddy (Daddy’s Home).”

The conversation extended to their shared musical interests, with both expressing excitement about seeing The Weeknd, Swift, and PartyNextDoor in concert. They also reflected on their red carpet debut at the American Music Awards, where Kateb admitted to enjoying herself – and having a bit too much to drink.

“I was having a ball… I was also drunk,” Kateb confessed, adding that she, like many attendees, had hoped for a surprise appearance by Swift to announce the re-recording of her album Reputation. However, the rumor proved false, as Swift neither appeared nor made any announcement regarding the album’s release.

The couple’s openness about their relationship, from their musical tastes to their future plans, offers a heartwarming look at a connection forged on reality television that continues to thrive off-screen.
