5 crore fraud complaint against actor Vimal

by time news

Vimala, who made her debut with Pasanga, was elevated as the lead hero in the film Kalavani. The film was released in 2010. The second part was released in 2019. The first part was a success, the second part was a failure. Kopi from Peravallur has lodged a complaint with the Commissioner of Police alleging that Wimal had embezzled Rs 5 crore from the production of the second part.

He said in his petition: I have been involved in the film industry by starting a film production company called Government Films. On April 12, 2016, actor Wimal approached me and asked me to produce the film ‘Mannar Vagaiyara’ in which he was going to play the lead role and to help pay for the film. He also promised to pay for the film’s profit.

I was a little hesitant and he promised to produce ‘Kalavani-2’ under our banner. On top of that I gave him Rs 5 crore in bank account and cash. He promised to pay for the purchase before the film’s release. But he did not pay.

He then paid Rs 1.30 crore into my bank account after various negotiations. Take this as a profit for the film and promised to return the original Rs 5 crore later. But as he said he did not return the money. When he paid the check he had given to the bank it came back that there was no money.

I lodged a complaint at the Virukambakkam police station. Later, actor Wimal agreed in writing to give us Rs 3 crore in talks with us. But he did not pay a single rupee as he was told. Therefore, I request you to take action against actor Wimal who swindled Rs 5 crore through trust fraud and recover the money. Thus Kobe stated in his complaint.
