Dresden is launching a laser-scanning project to create a detailed digital map.

The complex vehicles will start their work in the Altstadt,Blasewitz,Leuben and Prohlis neighborhoods. This project is designed to help simulate the potential effects of heavy rainfall and improve urban planning.

Did you know? Dresden isn’t the first city to create a digital twin. Many municipalities worldwide are adopting this technology for urban planning and disaster preparedness.
