Former Chennai captain Dhoni, current captain Jadeja, Bravo and Rudraj Kejriwal were among the players who wore the traditional T-shirt of the Tamils. Groom Devon Convoy also wore a hunting suit. Devon Conway gave a special treat to all the players at the lively event. Chennai team honored Devon Conway with an enthusiastic dinner.

However, the series did not go well for Devon Conway, who played for Chennai in this IPL match. He played only two matches and was dismissed for very few runs. He scored just 3 runs in the match against Kolkata. Not only him, the Chennai team has started the series badly. The reigning champions Chennai have played 6 matches so far and won only one. With Jadeja taking over the captaincy for the first time after Dhoni, the Chennai team is expected to play better in the upcoming matches.
